The Area’s Premier Youth Travel Basketball Organization

STG SELECT provides enthusiastic basketball players with the opportunity to gain valuable experience at higher levels of competition. Our program is designed for athletes who already have a strong foundation in basketball and are eager for more advanced training and competitive opportunities beyond recreational leagues or crossover play.

STG SELECT is more than a team, it’s a family, united by a love of basketball and a commitment to excellence.

Travel ball is a great opportunity for players who have good foundations for basketball and are looking for more skilled training and experience than can be found in rec ball or crossover leagues. Travel basketball involves tournament-style competition. STG SELECT coaches have played at the collegiate (or above) level, have coached at many levels of basketball, and are dedicated to helping youth basketball players experience all the things through basketball that have meant so much to them in their own lives. Players have two or three 2-hour practice sessions per week and attend local and perhaps regional tournaments throughout the season. Most tournaments during the spring/summer season usually require a night's hotel stay for a night, otherwise, the tournaments take place within 1.5-2 hours of Mooresville, NC. Players trying out for STG SELECT should be committed to showing up to all practices and tournaments. At STG SELECT, we believe in leading with integrity, great communication, and great organization in providing our players and their families with a rock solid and positive experience in pursuing their basketball goals. Also included in the foundations of STG SELECT is the building of good character, work ethic, and great sportsmanship. These principles are integral to the values our coaches reinforce during their practices and games. Many great life skills are obtained through the game of basketball!

Commitment & Schedule:

• Practices: Two or three sessions per week (2-hours each)
• Tournaments: Local and regional competition throughout the season
• Expectations: Players should be committed to attending all practices and tournaments
